Default Fifa 16

We're nearly 1 week out from the release of FIFA 16. The game will be available at midnight eastern. The demo is pretty impressive. My impressions so far:

-Players feel more weighty. Less dramatic cutting and more natural feeling movement
-Shooting in open space leads to goals. This will diversify scoring and open up the game
-The new dribbling takes some getting used to
-The new "driven" pass is very useful. By pressing RB or R1 when you pass or do a thru ball, it adds a lot of power to the kick. This is useful when you have a narrow window to pass through. To make this not OP, the pass sometimes goes hard off the receivers foot, or, misses.
-You can jostle with players just by running into them. Very nice touch.
-The defending is dramatically improved. CPU AI on your side and competitor will defend open space.

There's a few additions to career mode like pre season tourneys, you can keep a portion of money at end of season if you dont use it all (finally). Transfers are supposedly tweaked and improved. High hopes for this one!

Yep can't wait for this! NHL on Tuesday and this the following week. Although with the imminent arrival of my first child I'm not sure how much playtime I'll get right away lol!

Really like the demo agree with what's been said. Scored a couple of goals that were rebounded by the keeper after a shot which is nice. Also I didn't notice in the last game but I was looking through the settings and you can turn handball on.

Gave away two penalties jostling and pulling shirts in my own box so that will take some practice!

For the first time since Fifa International Soccer (which was in 1993 IIRC) I'm not buying the game.
Tough decision to break my streak, but the reason is simple; I just don't have time to play.
I played the demo of Fifa 16, and overall it feels pretty good. Much better than Fifa 15 if you ask me.

FIFA is a mere 25 hours from dropping digital download! team canada is now added. they will compete in the world cup in the game, and, the south american cup with argentina brazil etc during years the euro is on.

so one idea i have is with one of my manager modes i do this time around Ill have a 5 star recruit pulling manufacturing gems from canada and flooding clubs around the world with canadians. maybe in 4 or 5 years have a really good team canada.

For those folks on the xbox one, tons of people are selling the digital version on kijiji since it came in a bundle. I got a copy for less than half off retail!

Getting my copy from Amazon either tomorrow or Wednesday it looks like. Didn't play last year at all, but played 14 constantly.

Sounding like PES might be the better soccer game this year.

Yeah, I haven't played the demos, but the reviews are saying that PES is much closer to real soccer and a better sim, whereas FIFA is much more arcade.

Here's a decent article that breaks down PES and FIFA. Wish they'd go into game modes a bit more, as I think manager mode in FIFA is perhaps the best offline player mode of any sports titles.

Played it last night against a buddy.

Holy hell is it hard to score when playing on legendary. Went from scoring goals in bunches when we normally played each other in 15 to all 4 games being 1-0.

I have been a PES guy for a long time, but with me finally making the switch to lastest gen console, I was looking to decide - this seals it for me as PES.
I don't mind a clunky menu and having to get an option file for missing licences if the game on the pitch is better.
I also don't play online, which I see as a major plus for FIFA fans as Konami falls way behind with online play, and less opponents as well.

I'm glad that PES I getting great reviews and some critics choose it over FIFA. That will light a flame under FIFA and EA.

I love FIFA and don't see myself switching but competition is good

I'm really going to need to break my habit of tapping L1 to get a nice, controlled first touch. The no touch dribbling is going to take some getting used to.

Damn, was hoping PES would be the same price as it was last year on release but doesn't look to be the case, so I will be sticking with FIFA this year.
