The McGriddle is a one way ticket to diabetes. 30 grams of fat, ~500 calories. It's one of the most unhealthy sandwiches you can eat.

I'm just stumbling onto this news now and I couldn't be happier. I love a nice egg mcmuffin and coffee. Best thing on the menu. And only 299 calories. Whaaaaat!

OH my..... this is wonderful.

I'm in the nobody does better fast food breakfast than McDonalds camp. Bacon and Egg McMuffins are so delicious, and surprisingly reasonable for calories. The best part, is when you luck out, and the yoke in your McMuffin is still a little runny.

Time to start raiding the junk mail bin in front of my building when the McDonalds coupons come in the mail. Haha all you single family dwellers. I gots me 26 opportunities a month for 2 for one McMuffins! I knew sticking it out in condo hell would pay off in spades one day!

Well, I guess this means I'm moving to San Diego.

Predictably it did well in the test markets and may roll out America wide by October. No word on Canada though...

Quote:
McDonald’s Corp. is telling franchisees to prepare for a potential nationwide launch of all-day breakfast as soon as October, according to an internal memo sent to U.S. operators last week.

The memo, from LeAnn Richards, who is leading McDonald’s All-day Breakfast Task Force, and Central Zone President Charlie Strong, said that early results from all-day breakfast tests in San Diego and Nashville were “encouraging.”

“Our customers love it — they’ve been asking for it for years — and our crew in the test markets enjoy this new platform because it makes changeover much smoother,” the memo said.
Quote:
"We want to make it clear that we are not being presumptive that this will launch,” the memo says, “but we want to make sure the system is ready to turn quickly and launch all day breakfast should all of you believe and support that direction.”

“Serving all-day breakfast is likely the number one request we hear from McDonald’s customers. We’re testing it out in a few markets to learn more about this possibility. We know your mouth is watering, but there’s no news on this yet,” a McDonald's spokesperson told NRN by email.

I wish they would put a real egg in the mcgriddle, they are tasty but I stay away because the mcmuffin has a real egg.

Also, egg mucmuffins late night would be awesome!

I find the sandwich better if you order without butter. There are already enough fatty components, that you don't miss out.

The Bacon N' Egg Bagel with Multigrain Bagel (610 calorioes/27g fat) actually has more calories and fat than the Bacon, Egg & Cheese McGriddles sandwich!!! (420 calories/18g fat)

What in the world is the liquid they squirt on to the muffins before adding the egg?

It is very easy to make McMuffins at home. Easier than driving to McDonalds.

I have on several occasions hung over and starving waited around for 10 minutes for the clock to strike 11 so I could get some frigging cheeseburgers or a McDouble instead.

The egg is, in fact, a real egg. It has just been powdered then reconstituted.

All bagel's are insanely high in calories.

Had an overweight friend in highschool who was convinced his bagel with cream cheese and orange juice everyday for lunch would help him lose weight. Turned out it had over a thousand calories.

I just found out you can order off menu at McDonalds. Basically if they have the ingredients, they will make it for you. So with the all day breakfast you could put a burger patty inside your McMuffin if you wanted.

Butter, infused with McHeroin, to make them so addictive.

Gotta admit I was a little saddened when I heard that we weren't going to follow suit up here.

McDonald’s Canada has bad news for those looking to get their Egg McMuffin fix past 11 a.m.
Spokeswoman Lisa Hutniak said the company has no plans to launch all-day breakfast, despite the brand’s announcement that its American restaurants will introduce the option on Oct. 6.
