No Chuck until November, the **** is this bull****. Getting shafted until Fridays, only 13 episodes and not until November. NBC hates Chuck.
Chuck's ratings are AWFUL. The only reason it's still on is because all of NBC's other shows also have poor ratings so it doesn't look as bad. Be thankful it's still on, period.
Sorry, dude. No idea how my edit didn't show up until now, but I didn't realize I was initially looking at the UK version of Shameless.
No word on when US Shameless starts again.
January 8.
And that's all right, I was actually thinking of the UK version. I watch both.
And also to fans of Chuck, I wasn't trying to come across as a ###### nozzle. But I closely follow TV ratings, and in these days when broadcast networks are struggling to keep their shows afloat, it's hard to justify a show with a small following.

It's funny, on the Hulu "best of show", it came down to Community and Chuck and Chuck ended up winning "Best Show". It's funny because both shows get pretty crappy ratings (Chuck's are worse), but both are among my favorite shows.
It isn't NBC's fault Chuck does so horrible, it is the 40 million ######ed Americans who choose to watch Dancing with the ****tards rather than good shows.
Most of my favorite shows get such terrible ratings, Chuck, Community, Parks and Rec, Fringe. Then shows like Big Bang Theory which I used to like but has gradually gotten rather terrible just increases in ratings.
Premium cable is what we've got now... broadcast networks can't take the risk on new shows cause they just fail too quickly, apparently the exceptions are Terra Nova and Alcatraz, into which FOX is dumping a billion dollars. I'll survive with Dexter, Breaking Bad, Shameless, Justified, and Sons of Anarchy if all my broadcast dramas end up dead.

The sad thing, Chuck pulls in more than twice the ratings as the above shows.

American's taste in television is dreadful.
Angel, Firefly like this post
There's actually no reason to invest in new shows unless you know they're going to survive. Why get into the plot lines if the show is suddenly going to be gone.
If the show doesn't have moron's going through drug rehab partying or getting boob jobs it just ain't going to survive.

Apples to oranges. You can stick a coat hanger on your TV and get NBC for free... not Showtime, AMC, and FX.
Most people think broadcast is failing because people are torrenting shows and playing video games... but the overall TV audience is about the same, just everyone is shifting to cable.
This is the site I use to keep track of which shows air when. They seem to do pretty good with keeping up to date with new shows, start date, and when it ends.
Taste is relative . . . . . . the way I see it, the shows that have the best ratings win the "taste" test and everything else is eclectic which means your taste is awful. I love Community as well.
That goes for music as well. I can only assume my taste in music is terrible because I hate Rap yet its very popular.
Not exactly a premiere but a summer 2011 offering, I've liked Combat Hospital to date.
Its a hit in Canada, probably because of its unabashedly Canadian tone, but on shaky ground in the USA where ABC has shaved one episode off its schedule heading into September.
Terrific episode last week. DVR'ed last night but haven't seen it yet.
It could be one of those shows cancelled in the USA but continuing on in Canada.

I'm old school in my taste, I love smart T.V., but I'm not a fan of long story arcs because if you miss an episode your boned, this was why I lost interest in Lost for a while. You also always get that feeling that your going to be stephen King'd. Great series terrific buildup, lame stupid dumba$$ ending ie Lost, Seinfeld.
And I like Combat Hospital as well because they make Canadians look good and to an extent heroic.

Not mentioned in the OP (probably because it is a Canadian show..) but Dragon's Den premieres tomorrow night on CBC. Hopefully the new Dragon can fill Brett's shoes.

I was just flipping the channels tonight and watched Camelot on CBC. I think that it was the premier and it wasn't half bad. It even had a tad bit of boobage. Looks like a pretty good cast too.
