The Cards won tonight in a walkoff on a play that the Reds apparently wanted to challenge, but I guess the umps left the field before the Reds could get to them

Here's video of the play, it should have been a ground rule double

That's crazy. Clear ground rule double missed by the umps. Reds to protest.

The Rangers have secure the top spot in the AL, meaning the Red Sox will face the Indians in the ALDS. John Farrell vs. Terry Francona

Hopefully the Mets can win tomorrow so they don't have to pitch Syndergaard on Sunday. I'd much rather have him go for the WC game than Bartolo.

It really sucks that Harvey, DeGrom, Matz and Wheeler are all hurt as it looks like the offense is starting to heat up at just the right time.

Even if they win the WC game, they'll be in tough against the Cubs without those pitchers. Should be fun though. Would rather face St.Louis than have to beat Bumgarner. I don't want to face the Giants in an even year.

Mets, Cards and Giants all win today.

This means LA goes to WAS.

Giants clinch at least tie for 2nd WC.

SF may have found another pitcher in Ty Blach. Bad news for the NL if SF gets past the WC.

Yanks with two in bottom of 8th to go up 5-3 over BAL. Edit:7-3 with Yanks still batting.

Pretty sure Blach won't be on the post-season roster. They have a lot of pitchers
Bumgarner, Cueto, Samardzija and Moore is your rotation.

I think Blach could possibly be added if there is an injury:

What a great finale from Scully. Just simple, and class.

"I've said enough for a lifetime, and for the last time, I wish you a very pleasant good afternoon".

End of more than an era. Outside of Blue Jays games, only other MLB watched as a kid in the mid 80's, was Scully and Garagiola on NBC Saturday afternoons and he was just the epitome of what the comfortable voice of baseball is, was, and should be.
