Big Rig! He's coming along better than I anticipated. Will be fascinating watching him in the AHL soon.

Maroon was actually a pretty big scorer in junior... played one year in the OHL and 90 points in 64 games. He was soft and not tough at all though. Developed that part of his game as a pro. Smith has the toughness part down but harder to develop the skill level. Smith is also much taller and tall players often are late developers.

Hunter smith just laid someone out. He's quite a bit bigger than everyone else.

Oshawa scores on a shot from the point with Smith screening the goalie. 3-2 Oshawa.

Hunter smith drew the penalty for that goal too by taking his opponents stick and high sticking himself with it LOL

Yeah, wasn't sure if that was really a high stick or Smith grabbing the stick and doing it himself. Oh well, it worked out anyways.

Oshawa ties the game 4-4 with 2 minutes to go. Smith was patrolling the front of the net again.

Smith saw a LOT of McDavid in the OHL finals.

Smith was held off the score sheet in a 2-1 win for the Generals over the Kelowna Rockets.

That's 3 straight wins for them and things are looking good. That team is stacked..

I think the cup is still up for grabs. The Generals have won all their games by one goal, which shows the other teams are competitive. IIRC the Generals have gotten themselves a spot in the finals while Kelowna will need to fight through the playoffs.

Yes, Oshawa is in the final. Kelowna is virtually guaranteed an automatic spot in the semifinal.

The last game of the round robin is tonight between Quebec and Rimouski. If Quebec wins, they'll play Kelowna in the semifinal and Rimouski will go home winless.

If Rimouski wins, there will be a 3-way tie between Kelowna, Quebec, and Rimouski (each at 1-2, which has never happened before). In that case, the first tiebreaker is each team's percentage of goals from all the goals scored in their two games against the other tied teams.

Kelowna lost to Quebec 4-3 and beat Rimouski 7-3, so they scored 10 goals of 17 total goals scored in the two games (58.8%). In order to finish ahead of Kelowna in the 3-way tiebreaker, Rimouski has to win at least 8-0 tonight. If Rimouski wins tonight by less than an 8-0 score, Kelowna will go straight to the semifinal while Rimouski and Quebec will play in the tiebreaker tomorrow.

Last year, Guelph went 3-0 in the round robin and lost in the final to Edmonton, who went 1-2 in the round robin. Anything can still happen.

He is going to see a lot of him in the NHL too. Smith is going to be a real gamer for us. He's looking to develop into a monster and will make McDavids career hell.

It would be awesome if both the HUNTER and the WOLF panned out for us in the NHL.
