Mark Masters@markhmasters2 mins

Paul Bissonnette on CAL-VAN craziness: "I was entertained to say the least … must-see TV, esp when the stuff took place after the period."

Mark Masters@markhmasters24 secs

Paul Bissonnette: "Maybe a bit gutless to start the 4th line. Could it have been defused? Yeah … can look at it either way."

I think Tortorella is actually lucky that Malarchuk didn't make it through.

McGrattan was calm throughout the whole situation...he wasn't going to attack. Clint on the other hand was fuming with rage. Who knows what happens if that guy makes it to Tortorella, but I would think it wouldn't be pretty.

I can't believe the Canucks let Sestito go on the radio today.

Their PR guy either hates his job or just got back from a vacation.

Tom Sestito spends so much time either ham-fistedly assaulting unwilling combatants or sticking his feet into his own mouth its a miracle he even has time to play hockey.

Is there beer in the locker room or something, what does Sestito do with all his free time when he gets kicked out of the game so early all the time?

I think Hartley should start his fourth line for every game on the road the rest of the year. Call it research. #NHL #Flames

Lets not forget the Canucks called up this Lain guy as well who's got a big 11 points and 84 PIMs in the AHL. The Canucks spent all week trying to prove they are tough guys... is it really outlandish for Hartley to try to defuse them early in the game.

You'd think the Canucks would learn... everytime they decide to show they are tough it backfires on them and they can't stop whining about refs or bullies afterward.

What I am looking forward to is their next game. When one player hits a player in a dirty way, that player usually has to fight. Many times you see players at the end of games pointing to the other team and saying "We'll get you next time".

What is Vancouver able to do? If we start the 4th line again, does Torts have to start his 4th line again, or does he start the Sedins? If we start our 1st line, does he start his 4th line to get back at us? They really can't start fights and/or line brawls, as it will all be too hypocritical. Torts has really been painted into a corner in terms of revenge.

I think after this the Canucks have used all the 'team toughness' they have, from now on they're probably going to be the league's punching bags.

Agreed, calling up Laine and not one of their skill ahlers, also with the Canucks pretending to be tough on their recent road trip, pretty clear that they wanted to be a more physical team. The fact that they're whining about it after... wtf

That's kind of an oxymoron with the Canucks' farm team right now.
