Ya what was with that last night?? I went to watch it at like 11:30 last night but noticed it wasn't even on my PVR yet which I found strange. Looked at listings and saw for some random reason they had it listed at 12:30, which was even stranger when I went to then watch that one later, only to discover it wasn't even on. WTF Shaw listings??? Just caught it live on Comedy Network in SD too.
Didn't really wanna see the beard gone either, but once it was gone he just looked like the Conan I always remember, albeit a bit wrinklier.
Any time there's a major event like that, the late night schedule will be screwed up. Especially, when it's a federal election with such significant changes to the make up of parliament. Harper's speech ended at 11:30pm Calgary time, so who knows when Conan finally aired in the eastern time zones. It was only about an hour behind schedule in Calgary.
Even though Will Ferrell started the debearding process live on the show last night, we brought in Luke Walker - a REAL barber - to finish the job during the commercial break! Farewell, beard. Perhaps we'll meet you again further on down the road.
Here are some screen-caps and official photos from the beard shaving.
I have to admit, that was one of the funniest skits in recent memory.
It's great when a comedian comes on a talk show with a prepared bit, rather than to just plug a movie. Robin Williams, Steve Martin, Jim Carey etc used to do that.
The candidates to replace Osama bin Laden from last night were freaking hilarious.
