What kind of spider is this?
Creeping in the shadows on my brother's patio is this demon spawn of Ungoliant:
It's about 1.25" long, certainly the biggest spider I've ever seen in the wild. The hand is in there for a size reference, but I don't know how well that worked out. It's in Strathmore.
Here's a bigger shot of it:

Anyone know what kind of spider it is?

1.25" long? I think it is an Indian spider. Or it could possibly be a Korean spider.

Looks like a Cat-Faced Spider. Notice the markings on the abdomen. It's also called the Jewel Spider.

We've got one living in the corner of our garage man door, I am contemplating burning the entire thing down.
Or if anyone has access to a tactical nuke, I can laser the target from up on McHugh bluff for you.

Now he's dropped on to the floor
Heading for the bedroom door
Maybe he's as scared as me
Where's he gone now, I can't see
Boris the spider

i don't beleive it is an ensee-beensee spider due tot eh fact taht you did not find it in a waterspout and due to it's size relative to your hand.

I have one of those in my yard as well. I gently poked it with a stick, it was quite irritated, it disappeared shortly after. I can only assume it made it's way into my house and has laid eggs in my bed...or my ear
