Babcock could win it but Torts likely deserves the nod. Basically took the same team as last year to vast improvement. Babcock took a bunch of rookies from last place to the playoffs but 3 of those rookies were top 8 picks

Yeah its Torts, though the whole eastern media thing and name recognition will probably swing it to Babcock.

Nice to see McLellan nominated. Very deserving. Tortotella should win this though.

I'd give it to Babcock. Even if he has good pieces, I think he's proven that he's probably the best hockey coach in the world right now.

Give it to Babs for what he has done with the Leafs.

With all the media fellating the Oilers, I'd be perfectly happy if the Jack Adams curse passes onto the Edmonton McDavids.

Should actually be Eakins nominated for sucking enough to get McDavid.

All three deserve this nomination. Edge to Tortorella. I'd take McLennan over Babcock as second but for the Toronto factor. So, Tororella, Babcock, McLennan.

I look forward to watching at least one of these coaches being fired in 2018. My money is on Torts.

Yeah, playing the hell out of wunderkind McDavid and Talbot with the softest schedule in the League took sheer tactical genius.

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong but I feel as though any average hockey fan off the street could coach a team with McDavid on it to a respectable record. Not sure I agree with McLellan. The other two I agree with and I think Torts should win.

Take a look at the regular season standings. There's a team that when you look at their roster top to bottom has absolutely no business being a 50 win, 108 point team. Just think that the Flames have had some decent regular seasons over the years their time in Calgary going back to the 80's but have only eclipsed 108 points and hit the 50 win mark once (I realize the loser point makes a difference but still). It would be a travesty if Torts doesn't win this award.
