The Leftovers, where even the happiest moments are like walking barefoot through a room covered with broken light bulbs.

Leftovers renewed for a 3rd and final season.

http://www.theverge.com/2015/12/10/9...d-final-season

Quote:
HBO has announced that Damon Lindelof's surreal drama The Leftovers has been renewed for a third and final season. The show, which is based on Tom Perrotta's novel of the same name, finished its critically-lauded second season on December 6th. The whole season took place in a Texas town untouched by the Rapture, the "sudden departure" that rocked the show's world, and the drastic change in scenery — the first season took place in New York — paid palpable dividends in terms of audience response.

Once my brain adjusts to Westworld being over, I'm looking forward to the last season of The Leftovers starting up. I think it's starting in January?

*I just looked it up. It returns in April. Now what am I going to do until then?

Here's a trippy trailer for season 3. This will be the last season.

This show confuses me so much but I still enjoy it. That was a great trailer.

The final scene was interesting to say the least. It brought up more questions then it answered, that's for sure.

The last scene was very, very Lost-y.

I'm really excited about this final season, after seeing the season trailer, but also worried it won't live up to my hopes.

I had to watch the premiere twice last night it was so good, i love this show and its characters. Is Lilly's absence from last night show solely related to this season or am I forgetting something from season two?

This being the final season of the series i really believe its going to be incredible, today i ordered season 2 off Amazon.

We don't know what happened to Lily yet. She was at home with the group at the end of season 2.

Wow, that was a real roller coaster of an episode. From the Perfect Strangers theme over the opening credits, to Cousin Larry's appearance, then WU-TANG!

Between this and Fargo, it appears the theme of Spring 2017 on TV is going to be: Electronic devices ignore Carrie Coon.

What a weird episode. I liked it but man, you just need to buckle up and go along for the ride with this show. The Book of Kevin is a great plot device based on the flash forwards that we've seen. Also, Nora is a boss. Best character on the show at the moment.

Damon Lindelof posted this to Instagram after this week's episode aired: https://www.instagram.com/p/BTQOPbDD3cZ/

Also funny, Lindelof and the other writer of the episode were credited using their Wu-Tang names.

What a great start to this season. Both episodes were top notch. Episode two seemed very surreal in places - that trampoline scene

What a great show. I don't know how they are going to end this so quickly. So much unanswered out there.

We loved that episode last night. Kevin Garvey Sr. is very committed to saving the world one song at a time and Scott Glen is so good in that role. Some great imagery and symbolism in this one. Nice change of pace.

I just hope it pays off the viewer at the end of the series.

final scene was some powerful stuff and we also have a winner for most painful departure(or lack there of) story yet. The five kids, my goodness.

This show is putting out some of the best TV I have seen in years.

I feel like no one is giving this show a chance and it is brilliant. Season 1 was not amazing (but not bad by any stretch) but Season 2 was some of the best TV of last year. Season 3 may surpass that.
