Default HELP! Sharp Aquos has sound, no picture...

So I got what I thought was an outstanding deal on a Sharp Aquos 32" 720P TV, and it was working great until yesterday when the picture turned off. The sound was still good, and I could hear it switching inputs, and I wonder if any CPers may have had this problem or know how to fix it. I bought the 2yr Service Plan so Best Buy will have to do something for me, but I think if I can just fix it by pressing some buttons I'll be good.

Thanks in advance.

Try unplugging it, and letting it rest for 5 mins... after that if the picture doesn't come back, i would pack it up and take it back to best buy.

The new goggles also do nothing.

Try a different input, maybe it's just that input. Try a different source, maybe the source is broken? Different cable? Have to narrow it down.

This happens to me sometimes when I switch from input to tv. I just switch it back and back again and it works.

I had a similar problem with my mitsibushi, turns out that one of the heat sinks was to small and it overloaded a processor. They put a monster heat sink on it and it fixed it right up.

Cost me a hundred bucks.

It sounds like an input problem to me. It depends on your connection. Try switching the inputs as Photon suggested. Also try a different cable connector. Perhaps the video is pooched but the sound line is fine.

Thanks for all the replys guys, but it ended up being a TV problem. The backlight in the LCD was loose, and I figured it out when even the menus on the TV wouldn't display when I pushed the button. I brought the TV in to Best Buy and did a straight exchange for the same TV. It must have been loose though because once I moved it in to the store from my truck and all that, it worked. About ten minutes later it went blank.

Thanks for the help though!

I do... but we don't get any special treatment... I was troubleshooting with some TV experts but they're all on SONY Kool-Aid and I just wanted a straight answer. I never can tell who has true knowledge here and who's maybe been trained incorrectly...
