I've had a number of friends and relatives from other parts of Canada ask me to take them out for a "real Alberta beef" meal.
The thing is, before these sort of issues hit the media, when you picked a steak house or chop house it was kind of a crap shoot to know where the meat originated. Some places advertised Alberta beef, but lots of other places might only mention it on the menu.
