And some people still think the best player in the world is an Oiler

#1 Goaltender

Avs are a team built for the playoffs, superstars, stars, depth players, their only weakness is goaltending and they are good enough to overcome that most night's.

Just because the Kings won the last game of the regular season. That's how close they were to being swept IMO.

1 more. Let’s get rid of these bums.
Jets have been frauds all year.

**Colorado has the much better top end.
WPG has pretty solid depth. But gamebreakers so often are the difference.

This is a true assessment.
Vegas would've MOPPED the oilers. They should consider themselves lucky/fortunate.
Kings and Jets are the annual first round fodder teams in the west. Easy ticket to round 2 for any club that lines them up.
They're truly a waste of a berth any time they qualify. Kind of like the Flames after 04.

Likely Vezina winner Hellebuyck with a 5.22GAA and 0.870Svs in 4 games
Imagine what that team will do to average goaltending

Man does it piss me off that the kings won that last game and got the oilers into the bracket with them the canucks and preds.
The stars, avs and knights bracket would tear the oilers to pieces, but thst other weak ass bracket is probably going to free pass them to the conference finals where they finally face a tough team that's already had to battle through a bunch of other tough teams.

The Kings are truly the worst. They need to get with the ####ing program (ABE).

Cale Makar from Calgary is probably the best player in the league.
It’s rare to see someone control a game the way he does.

Goes to show you the true value of a #1 offensive threat D-man.
He was developed properly as just that, they never tried to make him play more physical or play a more defensive role.
It’s part of why I kind of want the flames to go after one of the top offensive D this year, they can turn a franchise around quite quickly if they can translate it.

SN Amber I think referred to his goal as McDavid-esque.
Puke.

Makar is simply above McDavid.
He also plays defense, an element McDonkey has none of in his game, mostly due to laziness.

Makar is more than just a #1 though, he's more like this generations Bobby Orr

Do you mean to tell me that the winner of Oilers/Kings play the winner of Canucks/Preds?
I haven't followed the "new" format too closely.

If so, that's kinda dumb. Play the whole season for a first round match up? Boourns
Also, judging by this I'd say you're right.

They should rerank for the second round. But the NHL is run by a group of morons.
Oilers will likely get the Canucks next.
