I love MMA, as a sport its great fun to watch, our local guy in Iceland is a rising star, and he's one of the most laid back easy going people, I would of course agree MMA, boxing and these types of sports attract and contain people more prone to violence, it is their craft.
But while there are cases of idiots like this, there are many more good guys who besides their violence in the ring are good people.

I dont know jack about MMA, but I watched the GSP documentary and was really impressed.
This guy is just a wacko. Yes, UFC, WWE, Boxing and other sports where the point is to cave another dude's skull in attract lunatics, probably in higher proportions than any other sports.
