Really? The Kings aren't catching the Flames. There's no chance anymore.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Leafs in the playoffs - how fun would it be to have 5 Canadian teams in the playoffs, compared to last year's zero? There would just be a lot of buzz.

Just had a look at Edmonton's pathetically soft schedule down the stretch. 7 games against non-playoff teams including tonight. Geez, they've really got it rough this year, don't they.

Trading draft picks and prospects for crappy returns, signing Gaborik and Kopitar to ridiculous contracts, not buying out Richards when they had the chance, retirement home hunting at trade deadlines. I have no sympathy for the Kingss. They are a mediocre team in cap hell with little in the cupboard. Lombardi hasn't been good in awhile and should be fired. Hate to say it but Sutter is well past his due date also.

I predict no powerplays for Kings in this game, maybe one but only if it is very late in the game and could not give the Kings any life.

Kings have been buzzing since the fight. Took the old man to light a fire under them.

I can't believe they have Brown for another 5 years and Gaborik for another 4.

Stanley Cup in 2012, conference finals in 2013, Stanley Cup in 2014.

Missed the playoffs in 2015, first round exit in 2016, and likely missing in 2017.

That was a very fast fall to mediocrity.

Voynov, Williams, Stoll, Richards all key players missing.

Man what a waste to see him finish out on the kings roster.

One of the biggest reasons I wanted to go after him was for that but there just was no room for him here.

Atta bo... old man Iggy.

There are less than three minutes left in regulation time and the Stars continue to lead 1-0. Lehtonen has had a strong game and could get the shutout.

Apparently hwy19man isn't superstitious.
