Ideally somewhere like the top 10 rows of 204-205 or something, but I imagine press level would be more palatable to Flames management. Charge reasonable ticket prices and let people do their thing. You know, actually having fun at games instead of spending the game watching it on their smartphone. And it would be the responsibility of the supporters to do this while being respectful of other patrons at the same time.

In fact, the Senators started something similar a few years ago called Red Scarf Union. This is EXACTLY what the Flames need to do if they want to get some atmosphere back at the Saddledome.

I'd be down to have a CP Night before the Playoffs start. Coordinate a game where we can get a bunch of tickets to make some noise!

If there are enough people interested, and someone wants to coordinate a group buy of reasonably priced tickets, I'd definitely be in. I can lend my experience in getting the same type of group up and running for Calgary Foothills.

Could be, but when we inevitably (like how this thread started) hear the usual, the Dome was too quiet, let's amp it up comments. What are those people commenting on mostly? Are they complaining about the lack of a euro style soccer crowd at the dome, or are they more commenting from a traditional NHL or NA style sports audience they didn't seem to be as reactive?

I always interpret the latter (but that aligns with my thinking on what I want) which I do think there is an appetite for, but agree Calgary crowds sometimes can wait for the tea to dictate or only bring it out for big moments (playoffs). Agreed fir the must part there is no appetite in the Dome in general for non hockey related noise and atmosphere.

The game against LA on the 29th would be perfect.

Simply unacceptable. We have to be better than this in our own barn.

The ole ole chant was flames fans mocking the habs and their fans. I also heard someone try to start the na na na na goodbye around 2 or 3 mins left in the game.

They were sarcastic Ole's from Flames Fans.

It was 5-0. They were mocking them. It was awesome and I'm actually surprised there were enough fans at the game that were knowledgeable about other teams enough to pull it off at the level they did.

Starting to build that hype!!!

Starting with the game vs the Kings, the atmosphere has changed. There is more nervous energy and it seems like the reactions to the play are getting louder every game. Go Flames Go chants are lasting longer. I blame the in-house production a little bit. There is always a contest or advertisement or honoring a soldier or applauding a season ticket holder. I understand their purpose but the constant bombardment interrupts any organic fan generated noise (other than the wave :/). There are also a lot of times when chants are just getting started and the music gets blasted so loudly that any cohesion is lost.

This version of Harvey seems to be okay at walking around and taking pictures with the kids but he has no impact on fan excitement at all. Harvey used to be much more entertaining. They should bring the t-shirt launcher back.

Ever since a Harvey almost ran the fire and ice girl over at center ice spinning an ATV, the lawyers have killed exciting and fun Harvey's!

They had it at the Philly game. He was launching em out of the back of the truck going around the ice.

He then forgot to duck when the truck drove back into the zamboni entrance and got creamed by the doorway. Funniest thing I've seen in a while.

Harvey doesn't even bang the drum correctly anymore.

He bangs it 3 times then stops as the crowd chants "Go Flames Go", then he bangs 3 more times. Its supposed to be along with the chanting, what the hell changed?

I'm convinced the real Harvey retired (or was let go) and to save money they replaced him with the awful, awful guy that does Ralph the Dog from the Stamps games.

Worst mascot in the history of professional sports.
