I have a coworker who brought up the whole thing about anti-vaxxers and jehovahs witnesses who refuse vaccinations. Does the government impose emergency measures in an outbreak against patient wishes here for the greater good? Or how will that work. Assuming of course that the anti-virals and vaccines in the works pan out of course.
Just throwing this out there: I grew up going to meetings as a Jehovah's Witness, I'm still semi-connected to the religion, and I've never heard of any JWs not having their kids vaccinated for religious reasons. I knew one woman who didn't have hers vaccinated, but it was typical stupid anti-vax stuff, nothing religious. By and large, I'm pretty sure JWs don't have any issue with vaccinations?
Blood transfusions are a different story, obviously, but I'd never heard of that among JWs.
I follow a lot of the anti vaxx craziness, there is a lot of conspiracy stuff about Ebola going on in those circles. Don't worry, you can't vaccinate for stupid.
So the second nurse called the CDC informing them of an elevated temperature and they still cleared her to fly on a flight back to Dallas. Lets hope this gets handled a little better from now on.

Except for mass corruption. And archaic belief systems. oh and corporate exploitation.

JWs were against vaccinations in the 50s and 60s. Policy changed and vaccinations were allowed in the late 60s.

Ahh, okay, way before my time. My grandparents joined the religion in the late 50s/early 60s, and all of their kids were already born and vaccinated, and I wasn't born until the 80s, so I wasn't aware of that actually.
Nope - I got it. Just felt like venting a bit regardless.
Yeah but no one in here was actually saying the thing you went off on. It was a quote from Joe Biden, and if you want to argue with Joe Biden's stupidity you'll have to go to the back of the line.
