Another point to consider: if Dion was a issue in the room, Sutter's wasn't dealing from a position of absolute strength; that might have affected the return.

doesn't make sense - not nearly enough return for Dion if its Kaberle, Stajan and Kadri. No way.
If its Geztlaf coming back, then it makes some sense.

i sort of wanted to trade Phaneuf, but im still finding it difficult to come to terms with the fact that it actually happened. Obviously there better be an unreal return or i'll be sad.

Have faith, I am sure the return is substantial, especially with Aulie and Sjostrom included. Think Bobby Ryan or Getzlaf.

Sjostrom had strong Calgary ties.
This doesn't make any sense as the other two pieces are not mere throw ins...

theres 3 teams involved, who says we don't get a player from the ducks? nothing beens settled yet or even really announced other than a few players.... im on the hoping side that sutter won't pull of a horrible move
