Pat myself on the back for that one. I think they did change some minds too.

Happy to be seeing the Eastern Conference Finals.

Poor Senators. TSN has the one article of them winning on a page surrounded largely by Oilers stories. It's like they are an afterthought in the media.

In reality it is probably an advantage, less media = fewer distractions. Still, it probably sucks for their fans.

It does suck. It's not just coverage in general, we barely get coverage in our own games. At the intermission, Cherry and Maclean talked about the Sens for a few minutes and then went right into talking about the Pens/Caps series. In the first series against Boston, it would be Sens for a few minutes, then talk about Toronto.

Naturally, the one Flames-drafted starting goalie in the NHL to advance to a conference final is the guy we didn't even sign.

I was in Ottawa for the last couple of days though and it was funny because they were talking about the Sens on the radio and then mentioned that most people in the city do not realize there is still another Canadian team in the playoffs (that being Edmonton).

I am sure that was an exaggeration, but it was nice to be somewhere for a change that is paying attention to something better.

Sens are a pretty great story.

They've made it past the first round once in the last 9 seasons (since the cup run). This year they really weren't expected to do anything.

They've done some 'retooling' and have some younger players coming up but their roster isn't all that thrilling (besides of course Karlsson). And how about the Anderson storyline all year?

They deserve a lot more attention. Hopefully they get some accolades in the Conference finals.

Here's hoping it's an Ottawa/Predators cup finals.

I believe for this board we are then supposed to say something like we wish for then crash into each other in game one ending their careers. They can sandwich Bitchka in the middle and take him out too.

Surprised they hung on, but glad. Sens seem to draft well and always be competitive. Don't think they'll make it to the finals but I'll be rooting for them. Karlsson is probably my favourite non-flame.

Yep, 10 year reunion. Romy and Michelle's and American Pie. Yuck, ex-Oiler Todd Marchant was part of that Ducks championship.

Stoked Ottawa made it. They're a great story and also the only Eastern Canadian team I don't hate. And Karlsson is amazing, to say the least

I'm glad Ottawa won that game! I'm also a huge fan of Karlsson, would like to see him go all the way.

Great news for Ottawa! The third round will be tough, irrespective of who they play (Washington or Pittsburgh), but Ottawa has done well!
