It's actually remarkable how bad they are. They're on pace for 49 points and to finish 19 points behind the next worst team, both of which are unprecedented going back to 2000-2001
I was about to respond to this and it magically changed! You posted something about how it helps the Flames chances if they finish ahead of both of them (I assumed Nashville and St Louis). I was going to respond that no, the Flames only need to finish ahead of one of them and right now I don't see the Blues catching the Preds so it doesn't matter what Nashville does.
I suppose however one benefit of Calgary finishing ahead of Nashville in the standings is that if they did happen to meet in the Western final the Flames would get home advantage.

Randorf claimed Colborne stuck his knee out, but I didn't see it that way. It looks like your typical ugly collision where the recipient tries to dodge the hit last second and gets clipped awkwardly as a result.
I might be wrong, but it looked like Colborne had planted his feet ahead of time.

The best part of that Comeau breakaway is that Jets fans on Reddit are holding it up as some incredible defensive play by Laine. I don't really think it counts if the other guy makes literally the worst possible choice and just hands you the puck for no reason.

No penalty to Colborne, and on 2nd replay I agree. Copp tried to dodge the hit and put himself into a knee on knee collision instead of just taking a full body hit.

Got to be honest, on like 90% of knee-on-knee collisions I just see an unfortunate accident where the guy who doesn't get hurt gets blamed. This one looks like that to me.

Yeah, you don't see many "Denis Gauthier" knee on knee collisions anymore where the hitter clearly and deliberately sticks his knee out.
It's almost always a case of the recipient trying to dodge the hit altogether putting himself in a much more dangerous collision.
Frustrating when it results in a penalty too.

Why is everyone watching the Jets/Avs game? Is is just the HNIC game on in Calgary? Watching a bad team beat up on one of the worst teams ever is not my idea of a good time.
Columbus Ottawa is the game to watch right now.
