I feel incredibly dirty cheering for both the Canucks and Red Wings tonight, two teams that I have grown to despise over the years. One for dirty and cheap players, the other for always having the referees in their back pockets (and being disturbingly good for far too long).
Tonight, and tonight only, I forgive their past transgressions in hopes they can elevate their play long enough to defeat thy foes.
Oh, and go Panthers. Still have a good shot at the playoffs, but they have to start winning a lot and teams like Dallas should be 2 points for the Panthers.

Then don't.
By all means cheer for the Red Wings because there is never any good reason to cheer for Edmonton. But I will continue to wish nothing but failure on the Vancouver Canucks. Even with a win tonight he Kings are not overtaking the Flames.

I forgot to change the channel at the end of the first period and heard Cherry by mistake. Mclean brings up the Flames and how good Backlund has been and Cherry couldnt or wouldnt give Backlund any credit...he did say how much he likes Brodie and Tkachuk, but nothing for Backlund. Why is he still on the air?

I'm totally cheering for Vancouver for the rest of the season. The less high picks in the pacific the better.
Their fans and even their management seems to have finally accepted the tank so hopefully they can win a bunch of games.

The Jets are also terrible. They couldn't convert on 107 seconds of 5-on-3 time against the worst team in the NHL.

I always look at it as not cheering for the teams I hate. But cheering for the other team to lose. It makes it feel less gross. lol

Are we still cheering against Nashville? I'm thinking we don't need to bother anymore as they are firmly third in the Central.

Andrew McBride noted something on the radio that blew my mind yesterday. The NLL draws more fans in Denver this season than the NHL or NBA do.
Watching the Avalanche completely quit in Winnipeg makes it obvious why.
