Had the Oilers signed him, he would immediately have been their best prospect

Neat that he was offered a trip to Disneyland last year but turned it down for this.

Haha, the way Treliving is talking about the character and passion that Fionn shows is almost like he's half-talking to the team as of late. Well played!

Smells like a sign and trade. Best to move him while his value is at its highest.

Does this put the Flames over the salary cap? It seems like we'd have to break the bank to sign such a young stud.

This is so gut wrenching and really puts life into perspective. Kid is dying and knows it and he is the happiest person in that room.
Make a wish foundation is such an awesome charity/organization. My friends son was supposed to go to Disneyland very soon with make a wish but he didn't make it.
If anyone is looking for a great charity to donate to, make a wish is a real good choice.

Thank you so much for this thread. If I do pull the trigger on renewing my season tix, it will be because of signings like this.

Such a great heart warming story. We need to see more stories of this type on a daily basis.

The kid is pre-apex.
Iīm sure being an NHLer isnīt easy obviously in terms of committment and hard work, but stories like this should show they how fortunate they are and put life and the situation they are in in perspective.

Agreed, great charity. As a side note anyone who plays poker and wants to support them please sign up for their annual hold 'em tournament. There will be several Stampeders there, Bo Levi will be there for sure. Last year when you knocked out a Stamp you got the jersey off his back. First place is $10,000!

It's too bad he didn't arrive in time to dress against the tigers, he would have at least made it close.

Sorry to hear about your friend's kid I find myself smiling, but with a very heavy heart, watching the press conference. What an interesting kid!
