I do.
The Flames have played their best over the past couple years when they have had major injuries, which should be cause for concern for us who want a high pick. Perhaps keeping Iginla is the key to getting MacKinnon?

It's pretty monotonous at this point. I think everyone agrees the team stinks.

If they make big changes, it's not out of the question that the team will imporove short-term because there will be a weight lifted off their shoulders.

And it's not like they can play any worse than they are currently. I sincerely don't think it's possible.

Kings are really hustling early in this game. Going hard to the net already.

Even with Green and Mitchell out, their defense is solid and punishing.

Suddenly, Tampa gets 2 goals. There's plenty of time left too.

Kopitar just deked Ballard out of his jockstrap with a single move in the neutral zone.

So is Steve Yzerman still a brilliant GM? He inherited a team that had St.Louis, Stamkos, Hedman, and Lecavalier, and they are almost as bad as the Flames now. Have to think Guy Boucher won't last much longer there.

There are a ton of problems on that roster that he's not responsible for that are preventing them from being competitive.

Agree about Guy Boucher though, especially because their AHL coach seems to be getting a ton of credit for creating some NHL'ers out of their AHL squad this year.

I think it could be a turnover like Mike Yeo in Minnesota, where they just bring up the coach many of the guys are already used to.

I have watched quite a few Lightning games this season and they actually play pretty well most of the time. In fact, they have lost several games that they should have won, but couldn't bury their chances and as a result lost by single goals quite often. They also have a nice collection of young forwards - Conacher, Johnson, Killorn and Palat have all come up from the AHL, looking NHL ready right from the get-go ... and they still have Connolly and Brown in Syracuse. To use the old Flames saying: the Bolts' answers actually are in the room.

Johnson's tip-in for the second goal was a beauty!

Darryl Sutter is outcoaching the hell out of Vigneault right now.

3 shifts in a row where he's got Kopitar out against Ballard, and Kopitar has had a scoring chance on each one.

He was massively overhyped in his first year IMO (Yzerman)

Tampa is a strange one. 14th in the Conference with a +6 goal differential. I think as of right now there are 13 teams in the NHL who have a positive goal differential, and Tampa ranks 9th. That there should suggest the Lightning have the talent to be much better. They're not the Penguins from 2009, but that's why I think a coaching change needs to happen now because a 5 game winning streak can get them back into that Division chase.

Unless a coaching change makes their goaltending better, i dont think it would make a difference.

Its not even the amount of goals given up, they get very little as far as timely saves or their G's keeping them in the game when they do slump a while.

Perfect destination for Kipper IMO...and Yzerman knows all to well what Mikka can do in the playoffs.

Will I get berated for cheering for 3 point games on the OOT? I'm hoping for as many of them as possible the rest of the way.

17 minutes into the second and the canucks have 2 shots on goal in the period.

Not like LA's doing much more. Shots were 5-3 that period.
