Forever behind the Oilers huh? I'd wager it'd still be the same if they were a bottom 5 team.

That's okay, though, as it means more suckers are placing money on the Oilers.

Oilers. Then at least if they win it'll take some of the sting out of it.

Only one team, you say?
Penguins @ 10-1.

Penguins would be my first pick, but it's been 20 years since anyone repeated.

I'd probably actually go for Montreal - they have a pretty easy path to the ECF, and have one of the few players in the league that could single handedly win a series (or two). Also something about the mid-season coaching change...I think it's only been Darryl and Sullivan in the last few years, but it feels like it might be the right medicine.

By the end of the week the flames might be in a home ice position - i.e. 20-1 odds.

I think that is the carrot I would be dangling in front of the team right now. Let's shoot for the No. 2 slot in the Pacific - as a) it gives the Flames home ice for the first round and b) it would mess with the confidence of the Oilers or Ducks, who thought the Flames had been left in their dust.

Good stuff folks.

Im not gonna play the Pens...just way way to hard to repeat in the NHL and they have been middlin lately.

I think I like the Rangers at 12-1, but just havent been able to zero in on any one club. Fortunately i have 9 days before i have to make a decision.
