".....if the person on the other end of receiving that correspondence can stop laughing long enough...." (10:30 minutes in)

That was worth the listening by itself. (edit: But the important information is at the 13 minute mark And at 16 minutes even better.)

Treat everyone the same is the message that comes from that interview. No special treatment to officers. That seems fair.

Let's talk about how I was just brake checked by an undercover unit on Deerfoot in the right lane and then pulled over and given a $543 careless driving ticket. I swear he was baiting me to cut him off as he was doing 80 in the right lane. Stupid me did cut him off but that definitely felt like he was baiting cars.

Why did you cut him off instead of just passing?

May have been baiting but you did bite.

Do you have a dashcam? If so, fight it in court and show the cop baiting you. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure cops aren't allowed to engage in stunting behavior themselves to provoke stunting/careless behavior in a citizen.

Why does it matter the reason? I already admitted to doing it and said I was wrong in doing so. That doesn't excuse the behavior of the cop either. I can and will admit to what I did, do you think the Police officer will?

And I don't have a dash cam but the cop did so will try getting that played in court and hopefully they'll see he was brake checking me. If they see his speedometer going from 90-60 suddenly that'll at least show he was.

80 is a lot different than coming back and saying it was 90 to 60.

why? I guess I feel like you deserve the ticket for getting all mad and aggressive and intentionally cutting off a car, and maybe you were tailgating to begin with, leading to him braking on you.

guess we'll see how it goes for you in court.

I don't know if fighting a careless driving ticket by saying "I felt slighted" is going to be a successful approach.

The lesson here is: don't drive like a dick, even if you think someone else did it first.

Your argument should be you weren't being careless. You did the maneuver it such away that it would not result in an accident while paying close attention. It was not a careless act its was deliberate.
