Since Jose doesn't even want to be in Europa League, I think he might actually not even complain about that call.

Zenit St. Petersburg (sadly not Burger King) was down 3-0 with 13 minutes to play, win 4-3 over Maccabi Tel Aviv. So someone is having a worse night than United fans.

In terms of the randomness though I thought it was just a Manchester connection and you picked City over United randomly? Am I wrong and there a direct family connection to Man City?

eh, all good.
I do have family connection to the city of Manchester, my grandfather was a huge soccer fan and player. Choosing between City and United was pretty random, because I have no way of knowing anymore who he preferred. So I did "pick". I guess I didn't want to be a big United fan over night because they're so heavily followed already and I kind of get annoyed with their fans/followers for it.

Yeah, I read the transcript of that interview and it seems pretty clear to me that Jose is going to do everything in his power to get United out of the Europa as soon as possible.
United shouldnt have a problem finishing in the Top 4 this season (after dropping that astonishing amount of transfer cash) so the Europa isnt as big a deal for them and Jose pretty much openly said that he considers The Europa league beneath him and United.
Jose was...customarily less than subtle on that point.

Aw did they not take the money? Is the offer still on the table? I still think that would really differentiate Zenit and offer some unique brand identity to Russian football.
And the mascot opportunities just write themselves!

Apparently this was when Feyenoord fans were singing YNWA after the match. That's some class taunting right there.

EA brought Jose out for the announcement of FIFA 17 (I think), it was one of the most awkward things I've ever watched. Check it out if you're one of those people that when they feel embarrassed for something they watch on tv, they need to change the channel.

Cheer for whoever you want to for whatever reason you want.
I, as a Madrileño since birth, obviously cheer for Madrid.
Obviously.

I have to think that a lot of Mancunians supported United for a long time. City was nowhere near the Premiership (or 1st Div) for the better part of a couple decades.
