A friend of mine sent me this video today. This guy is able to power his electronics without wires.

Nice!! They're finally beginning to truly replicate Nikola Tesla's similar ideas and tests (see Tesla effect) on wireless energy transmission (which he began in 1893). Also see: Wardenclyffe Tower.


Seriously though, despite the fact similar ideas have been proposed/demonstrated for years (Tesla was well before his time), this is very very cool. Thanks for the link, lambeburger!

Wild. Makes me wonder though, are there any inherent dangers with firing power wirelessley like that? SOLID idea and I hope to God it works in a useable way but power just floating through the air like that? Kinda spooky.

No, because it's not actual electricity flowing though the air. It's just a magnetic field, similar to gravity.

Ah, I need to watch this at home. No speakers at work. That sounds pretty aweseom then, wireless power would be one hell of an invention.

I think similar worries were being emitted at the advent of radio/TV signals, and then later on with Cell Phone signals.



Apparently if you wear a tin foil hat . . . . . . . .
