Default Macbook Pro Latch Release Button

The button is depressed and will not come out.
This is the first time it has happened. I got this in March 2008.

Any suggestions?

I googled and did not get a bunch of help beyond poking around with a toothpick. That does not seem satisfactory. And it did not work.

Have you tried talking to it? Maybe you aren't giving it enough attention? Prozac might help, but there will be side effects.

We just tilted the mac upside down, and tried to get the dirt out of it, and it worked fine. Spray it with an air can.
