No, you can buy the phone and because it's unlocked you can use it here. The service is not for Canadians- it says right on it "domestic" coverage.

Most of you astonish me. The link to the rep is right there! Ask HIM! Get it in WRITING! Man, do you need people need your hand held? I asked him. I have it in writing from the dealer. But anyway... You solution is not to ask questions but just imply.
Perhaps being UNLIMITED LONG DISTANCE you can use it in Canada now? This is just a thought, and not from the dealer.
So. Contact him. Ask him. "The website says USA only. Where does it say Canada? How can I find this information?"
Or. Continue your current path. Which ever ends up being the best benefit for you.
Cheers

This is just a guy selling phones for Zer01 which is an mvno. They resell data on AT&T and tmobile. The phone uses voip, so it's basically a data only sim.
So either they've worked a deal with Rogers which I haven't heard about or you buy it and get a huge bill the first month for roaming on AT&T or tmobile through rogers.
So ask them for a link to the announcement that zer01 has an mvno agreement with rogers.

I don't care if it's a multi level company. Really what company isn't. But while I don't want Amway, I would like a sweet package for my phone. Nevertheless there are more questions that need answering.

I worked at Wireless Wave years ago...
You were paid on a tier system there as well.
Started at 10.00 per phone activated.
Bonuses for activating with VM and text and data.
I also worked for Rogers. They paid 10.00 for activating phones as well I believe. It was years ago.

Anything that describes itself as multi-level marketing always seem to emphasize getting people under you to sell products (so you get a cut of all their work) but very minumal emphasis on actually selling the frickin' product.
The product almost seems like an after thought; "Don't worry, the product sells itself, but if you recruit 4 people, then they recruit all 4 people..........."

Uh, pretty much all of them...
A MLM "company" only survives if new "sales people" are brought in. Sales of their product (if it even exists) are inconsequential.
A real company, however, survives only when it's products are being sold...regardless of how many sales people there are.
This is a scam, and will be gone in 6 months.
