Default CP Federal Election Poll #2

Forgot I was supposed to this on Friday. Second poll up to see if there's any divergence from the previous poll.

I would classify myself as a small C conservative, so the last two federal elections, I voted Conservative. But in my opinion, the last 4 years or so of Harper's administration have been an unmitigated disaster.

While the Liberals aren't without blemishes, their plan is probably the most solid one out of the 3 major parties. So it's Liberal all the way for me. F*** Harper.

I posted this link a few weeks back. I'm supporting the liberals but strategically voting NDP in my riding.

Check out that link.

At the beginning of the election, I was leaning Liberal because of their generally centrist policies, despite not really being a big fan of Trudeau as an individual (nothing to do with his dad or the typically Alberta stuff though). However over the course of the last few weeks and debates, I think he's matured into a much more serious candidate. He's no longer just the pretty boy who says a lot of angsty fluff. Perhaps still not my ideal leader, but I'm definitely more comfortable with the idea of him being PM.

I'm in one of the few ridings in Alberta where non-Conservatives have a chance, so that's another good reason for me to vote Liberal.

I was going to vote conservative before to prevent a NDP government because that is what I feared most. Now it looks like a two horse race and like Table 5, I'm in Kent Hehr's riding so I'll probably vote for him.

Edit: Table 5 might be in Matt Grant's riding.

There's no way I can't vote for Kent Hehr. Dude is a fantastic person and will represent us extremely well at the federal level IMO.

This is really interesting. It's telling me to vote NDP in my riding as well.

That and no matter how old the joke may be, you just can't help giggling like a school girl at the sight of his name.

I used to be in his riding, but now I'm in Matt Grants.

Hehr is a fantastic guy. I've tipped a few bevvies with him and he's about as genuine a person IRL as he comes across in the media. I'm nowhere close to his riding but if I was I wouldn't think twice voting for him.

This. One of my good friends used to work for Kent so I got to know him in a ‘friend of a friend’ type way. He’s a really stand-up guy who does actually care about the people in his riding. It’s also really easy to vote for someone you’ve had a beer (or ten) with.

I also know Matt Grant in the same type of way. We went to the same friends bachelor party a few years back. Really bright, down to earth guy. If I was in Calgary Confederate he would 100% have my vote.

Voting Liberal in Skyview. Devinder Shory already seemed shady enough, but not showing up to the debate this year is the icing on the cake.

Plus I support most of the Liberal platform. Not entirely sure about their stance on pipelines. Opposing Northern Gateway I can understand, but being critical of Kinder Morgan and being undecided on Energy East is a little bit suspect. Even if your position is that a proper environmental assessment needs to be completed, you should at least be able to state whether or not you would be conditionally for or against the pipeline.

Also undecided on their ISIS campaign position.

Liberals in a huge lead on a calgary hockey website is quite unreal.
