If your goal is a profit, I'd sell now. Budweiser will make as many as they sell and ship them in June, at which point they'll go for a max of 60% of retail on eBay, imo.

There are no guarantees that Budweiser will keep lighting the light go-forward.

Pretty sure there aren't, how would you decide who is a celebrity? A guy who is a dozen Bud Light commercials is probably just as, if not more, famous than a 3rd or 4th line player. There are also multiple alcoholic drinks that use celebrity endorsers.

As a flames fan, I fear if I purchased this product, the light would never get used and it would just collect dust.

Theres a difference between 'costing' a crazy amount of money and being 'worth' a crazy amount of money.

I have Lando in my pool. I thought I was doing awesome. Every time I put on the TV he was in on the scoring.

The end goal wasn't a profit, I think it will be great for the playoffs when it's time to cheer on whoever is playing Vancouver.
It's a quirky beer branded novelty, it should fetch a pretty penny in 5 years or so, even if it's not supported by an app, depending on how many more are made

Someone should make an app so the buzzer goes off every time Iggy sinks a putt this spring.
I just made myself sad...

I think that there was something in the last CBA that involved NHL players not being able to endorse an alcoholic beverage and George Laraque got into some hot water over some Red Bull -Vodka knockoff drink.

I purchased the goal light available at shop.nhl.com that has the goal horns of all 30 teams. (Note the ones sold at the Saddledome only have the Canadian teams). It's way cheaper and the Flames goal horn sounds true to life. Also, the round remote for it has rubber around the edge. It does feel...remotely...like a hockey puck.
I think that goal horn is a good alternative to the overpriced Budweiser one.
