I have a friend who is a fireman, and he tells me about some gruesome things he's seen. He says initially he was pretty disturbed by it, but he got used to it. I imagine most paramedics go through something similar. All I know is, hats off to them. I would never be able to handle what they do.

A friend of mine is also a paramedic. He told me that there are two things
he can't stand.
1- The smell of beer
2- The smell of pizza
