Default 10-Year Anniversary - Need Gift Help - Danijam, don't come in this thread

So, it's my 10-year anniversary on April 27 and I haven't been able to think of anything to get my wife. I've booked a weekend in Banff and lined up a babysitter for the kids, but I still would like to give her some sort of gift. I'd like to keep it around $100, but I guess I don't mind going up to say $500 for the right gift.

Tin is the traditional 10-year anniversary gift, but I couldn't care less about that so it's not really a factor.

Any ideas, anybody? I've been drawing a blank on this for a couple months. X-rated pics of the wife if I use your idea.

If she likes watches, get her a really nice one. You can get very nice ones at costco for a couple hundred bucks. They are very dressy, and a nice accessory to any outfit, casual or formal.
For your 100-500 range you could also get her a very nice set of diamond earrings or necklace! Watch, earrings, necklace, any of those I would love to get!
Oh and if you take one of my ideas... I good without the picture

Dinner at Eden should score big points.

A bit of tom is always welcome, a decent gold bracelet or the like, go 500 not a hundred, if you want to actually enjoy your weekend, it is a tenth after all.

Not sure if she is into this kind of thing but DNA art.

You could get one with you, your wife, and kids. You can see how your kids are like you and your wife on a DNA level. Not your full sequence of DNA, just part of it...But I still think it's kind of cool.

How about a lynx-pelt coat?

Seriously though, maybe before you go, make her a dinner at home one night using the menu from your wedding reception. Have the wedding/dinner music from that day playing. Reminisce a little - I think something meaningful and connected to those memories will resonate and mean something special.

I did the fancy-watch thing for Christmas this year. I may have to go with some diamond thing of some sort, but she's not really a jewellery person so that may not be the best.

Okay cool, I'll book us in there. We're staying at the Rimrock already but I hadn't made supper plans...hopefully they serve lynx. Thanks!

If I was going to spend $10K it would have to be a lot more fun than a ring. Hawaii, towards a fun car, upgrade a bathroom, a hot tub, the list could go on and on haha.

I like that a lot...great idea. I'm not sure if I'll have time to do that before the anniversary, but that could be something for the next gift-giving occasion.

I'd be careful with that, if watching Maury Povich has taught me anything.

Just an FYI, if you are giving it as a gift they send you a little metal box with info for the person to read so you have something to wrap. They also send the swab kit for the person to use later.

It actually worked out pretty good, I got the mini one for my girfriend a couple years ago so I wrapped what they sent. I just noticed the 4 person one is kinda expensive (over $1,000) sorry I didn't look before with the $500 budget.

10 years = tin/aluminum. Some kind of pewter keepsake based on her likes?
