The thing with the Rays is that your team will lose if it's close and you fail to score runs, but if you tag these guys with 4 or more runs, they're pretty much dead in the water with Longo having a bad year and the rest of the bats being average ones at best.
Also with the small ball thing, I'm not a fan of it. There's time and specific plays/situations to do that, but when your home field/entire division happens to be one of the most friendlier places to launch a ball, why pull of a Ned Yost when you can mash it??? Like I said, if you prefer seeing guys play smallball and use their speed, then try following the Royals. They need that kind of game because they play in a pitcher's park and Ned Yost is just being Ned Yost.

He was REALLY scuffling at the plate for almost a month, but he's been really coming up good over his past few games.

Oh MAN! JD just hit a BOMB high and deep into the 5th deck, but fell foul by only about 5 feet.

I'd like to see the Jays give him more DH time/time off once the boys clinch that division...
speaking of pennant races, tied game in NYC top of the 5th, CHISOX 2 - NYY 2

Hmm...speaking of which, wonder how the Twins & Angels are doing? If we win & both the Twins & Angels lose, we clinch playoff spot.
Edit: Twins leading 4-0 over Tigers through 5 innings.

Twins already up by 4 runs against the Tigers, bottom of the 5th. Angels game won't start until 8:05 MT.

2nd half R.A Dickey of every season = the best knuckleballer R.A Dickey. He just turns it ON after the ASG.
