Neither. It's more frustrating to see everyone in the baseball world come up with the "This is the year the Yankees are going to lose their mojo line" only to past forward every September, year after year after year, and the Yanks always manage to defy the damn odds and continue playing meaningful baseball this late in the season.

Definitely the former.

"not being able to shake the Yankees" is a bit of a stretch, considering the Jays gained 9 games on them in a little over a month.

Price looking really solid with 30 pitches through 3 scoreless innings.

Jays need to start taking advantage of RISP.

Tulo has been in that horrible funk of taking strikes and swinging at balls.

Tampa up 3-0 in NY

Bases loaded with 1 out and nothing to show. Hope that doesn't hurt later

Tulo will snap out of it. You don't see guys with a full career of hitting .340 or so completely lose it. His average lately is probably in the .270-.300 range (2 weeks or so), still isn't getting a lot of good hacks in, but that will change. As long as he returns to form at some point this year, that's the important thing. Having him hot in the playoffs could mean the difference between the Jays just participating and the Jays winning.

TB up 3-2 in the 8th. Yankees have two men on with two out.

Haha, what a werid day. I could have swore the MLB website had this game as 6pm (which seemed weird for a Saturday), then I look to the thread to see what people are saying on game day and see three posts that seem to be about a game that happened this morning.

I felt like I was in the twilight zone, thinking "There can't be 3 posts on a whole game with David Price pitching", then went to MLB.com and saw all the good news. So great outcome, but pissed I missed the game.

I'll probably be talking to myself today, but that's the Ben Revere we moved to lead off. You get him on with no outs and the big boys up and you'll likely do some damage.

Perfect, Donaldson gets him home with a perfect liner.

This is slow pitch. 3 straight hard hit balls off Tillman, and one swing and miss.

Bahahahaha, this is awesome! I can't believe most will miss this game because of a rainy long weekend.

Bautista drills a home run, bringing him and Donaldson home. 3 - 0, 0 outs, EE singles, Tulo up now. This is a damaging first inning. Wow.

Tulo still struggling, strikes out, some pretty hittable pitches in that strike out, too.

Looks like Tulowitzky was a Coos Field guy. At least he can play defence.

Tulowitzki is about as guaranteed as it gets for an elite player. When he gets his groove back...look out Yankees.
