Also, didn't he sit out a couple games due to his sore hand?

Was that the Oakland series?

Edit: just checked - he has 4 games this month

Goins has a 10 game hit streak. That surprised me, nice to see.

Some major league rankings for EE in August (after 22 games - most guys have played 26-27):

Runs: 23 / 5th (Donaldson and Bautista are 1, 2)
HR...: 11 / 2nd (tied with Donaldson)
RBI..: 35 / 1st (Donaldson 2nd)
XBH.: 21 / 1st (Donaldson tied for 2nd)

And for players with at least 20 games...

AVG: .402 / 2nd
OBP: .458 / 6th
SLG: .927 / 1st
OPS: 1.385 / 1st

His OPS is .252 pts ahead of Cruz in 2nd

Oh, and he's hit in every game of course

LOL, .927 would be outstanding if it were his OPS... but it's his SLG. Just ridiculously absurd.

To think the Phillies not wanting to trade Goes and Kyle Drabek kept them from getting Halladay half a season earlier. Would have been one more post season with Doc.....Stupid Phillies.

Just got back from spending a guys/Jays weekend in Toronto. Man that city is a buzz with excitement right now. It's so nice to see Toronto embracing a team other than the Leafs. Tickets are def not cheap right now......70 bucks from scalpers just for upper deck bleeders that have a FV of 14. It's actually nice to see.

Sucks when you sweep a team and gain no ground. It would have been nice if the Braves didn't completely lay down for a Yankees team that had lost five of seven going in.

The Braves are as bad a team as there is baseball.

The Yankees got an opportunity to beat on them, yet couldn't gain ground on the Jays. That favours the Jays IMO.

Plus, Toronto gets their chance with Atlanta soon.

Haha, when I saw him play this series I was thinking baseball's Rene Bourque. Lazy, doesn't care and mistake prone.
