It's hard for me to remember clearly but after Henderson was acquired didn't it become HAMCOW?

Looking at this lineup makes me want to remember who Gaston sat out when the World Series went to Philly. My mind says it was Olerud but then I wonder how can you sit the batting champ? Plus he was the only true lefty in the lineup with 2 others who switch hit.
Was it Olerud? Molitor? Did Speague sit and Molitor played 3rd? Could Molitor even play 3rd at that time?

Game 3 Olerud sat in favour of Molitor:

Game 4 Sprague sat and Molitor played third
http://www.baseball-reference.com/bo...99310200.shtml
Game 5 it was Molitor at third again

In all three of these games, White hit second for whatever that's worth.

EDIT: Nevermind, already answered. And checking some of those links it appears at times it was HWACOM at the top of the lineup with White batting 2nd and Molitor 6th.

Help, save, whatever.

Does anyone have a gif of Edwin rubbing that ball of gum or whatever it was all over his face and putting it up his nose? I laughed for about 10 minutes after seeing that and would like to see it again.

Yeah they hit White 2nd a fair bit after Henderson came over in 93. Henderson actually played poorly for the Jays that last month. He did draw the leadoff walk against Williams in the 9th of game 6 though.

Yeah Ricky Henderson on the Jays was as strange as Todd Bertuzzi on the Flames. Just never fit. Can't complain as he was part of a WS though.

Didn't the Jays have two deals going for Steve Karsay at that time. Henderson or Randy Johnson. Can't remember why they got Henderson instead of Johnson though. I remember thinking that Johnson would have helped a lot more.

"Gillick had two deals going, one with Oakland for Rickey Henderson (Steve Karsay and a player to be named later), one with Seattle for Randy Johnson (Karsay and Mike Timlin).
He wanted the Johnson deal, but Pat couldn't find Woody Woodward (Mariners GM), who was playing golf. Sandy Alderson called and took the Henderson deal.
Problem was, Rickey being Rickey, he wanted money to waive his rights. While that was being negotiated, Woodward called and said he'd take the Johnson deal.
Pat Gillick felt he had given his word to Alderson, even if the deal hadn't been finalized. So he put the Seattle deal on hold."
