Looking at that bracket, Belgium has to be wondering how it got so lucky and Italy has be wondering who they pissed off.

As much sense as that makes, Iceland advancing with a win, while Portugal snuck through with draws is so, so sweet.

Lessons learned is that don't go all out during the group stage, just do enough to go through and you will get a lesser opponent in the knockout stages...

I've got a feeling about Sweden. They usually are timid and defensive but today they have to go all out, that could make them dangerous. Like Turkey were yesterday.

There is a CPer downtown right now who watched the game outside in Ingolfstorg, be interesting to hear how he enjoyed the experience.

Zlatan should be on fire tonight, as he's said this tournament will be his last games for the national team.

Italy playing a weakened side as expected. Hopefully Ireland can pull something out of the hat - it's win or we're out.

Kind of a funny story. I have a friend who watches all major tournaments (as much as she can) and tries to catch as many Champions League games as she can. Despite this, she has not seen Ronaldo score (other than in highlights) probably since 2004 or something like that, but certainly not since 2010 which is when we started to keep track of it.
It's starting to get more than a little absurd at this point. She's watched two of Portugals games in this tournament. You can guess which two

Yeah have to agree that Austria was the biggest choke of the tournament.

Portugal knew going In that three points was enough. They were basically not trying to final 15 minutes. Trying not to lose that is.
Their even goal differential was the tiebreaker when deciding the top 4 third place teams. Turkey and Albania both finished with negative differential hence Portugal knowing before kick off that a draw was enough.

Yeah but I dont think they've got the horses to go run and gun with Belgium. If they open it up they could wind up regretting it.
