Cheering for Germany obviously, but my dark horse is Croatia.
Croatia have a much better team than they've shown, if they get their poop in a group they should be a formidable squad.

Poland for moi.
I saw the score for their friendly against Holland and thought a 2-1 loss wasn't that bad but then I heard they were playing a no name Holland squad.
Fully expecting the typical Polish choke show now. They always do this. Sucks. They only have one major tournament after this one with Lewandowski playing at this level. It's going to really suck if they screw this one.

The problem for the Poles is that while their attack in Lewandowski is playing at its top level their defence and goaltending have been on a steady decline for the past couple of years.
If you had a rock at the back and a guy like Lewa who is likely to get you goals theres more of a chance to steal games, but Poland cant score their way out of trouble. They've got one target man with little support.

I think their Goaltending has been and is pretty steady (were a goalie factory for the bigger leagues) but yeah, the D needs serious help.

Ugh. I agree. 2012 even started well, then they just fell apart. Where you watching the games polak?

Well this year I'll be over there
Dom Polski has viewing parties if you're interested. Polish Students Club at the U of C used to do something too I believe.

I was supposed to be going to Poland for a wedding and watch it all there but I can't dip into savings thanks to the economy. Lucky you! Dom Polski is so far from me, but maybe I'll catch one or two there.

You've Sczesny on a downward trend and Flappianski backing him up. Not inspiriting a ton of confidence there.

Szczęsny is a Wildcard for sure. Hopefully he doesn't get sent off this time.

Croatia obviously. Germany is always my 2nd love though (and I secretly think they will win it).
Croatia did slam San Marino 10-nil 2 days ago, so hopefully that means a European Championship. They have a manageable group with Turkey, Czechia and Spain.

This is true, and frustrating as a supporter.
Modric, Kovacic and Rakitic are exceptional midfielders and play in the top league with the top teams. Mandzukic, for my money, is the best striker in the world in the air, and is very talented on the ground in close too. Croatia have other strikers that can score too.
The back line is the weakness, but sufficient if you ask me.
I sure hope the politics of the Croatian federation don't interfere with the play on the pitch. Croatia have the horses, let's see if they can redeem themselves from the heartbreak of 2008 and the disappointment of 2012.
