Going to this game with 11 other people tonight (10 Flames fans 2 Olers) should be a fun one. The team let me down on Thursday and in San Jose bringing my live record this year to 2-3-1 that needs to improve big time. Go Flames Go

Even with Rittich in net, I hope the Flames' don't put up a stinker. Wouldn't surprise me if one of the teams blows the other one out. Hopefully it's the Flames doing the blowing
Going to need to keep McDavid in check. Brodie had an excellent game vs Montreal. He'll need to be quick on his feet all night if the first pairing is assigned to them.
I hate being worried about games vs the Oilers, especially since the Flames' dominated them for a decade before McD came around. I just want to happy PGT when I'm drunk later, and not an angry HNIC!

Gaudreau needs to get going again. 4 games without a point, is an eternity for him. Flames need him if they are going to win. He doesn't have to outscore McDavid but he'll need to be on the score sheet.

This will be an interesting test of the Flames system play.
Early in the year they outplayed teams, but gave up high danger chances often when things broke down. Have to think that would have been ugly had they met McDavid in that phase.
Since then they've found a way to reduce these complete breakdowns and seem to have found a balance between applying pressure but not over extending themselves to the point where the play going the other way on a dime murders them.

Very worried with spooner in the lineup, the flames likely have no defence planned around him

Fear not, he has probably been puking since he got the trade call, he won't be up to snuff tonight.

This is the kind of game a team signs a guy like Neal for. I'm expecting him to get out there with some swagger and dictate the tone when he's out there.
