Gonna be a nice change of pace for those guys to get minutes on a really good ECHL team.
Flames' prospects in Las Vegas:
#18 Aki Seitsonen [F] 17 points in 41 games, +7
#23 Adam Cracknell [RW] 36 points in 32 games, +6
#43 Ryan Donally [LW] 15 points in 26 games, +4
#24 Brad Cole [D]
#32 Gord Baldwin [D]
#38 Kevin Lalande [G] 8-2-1-1, 1.49 goals against average, 2 shutouts, .946 save percentage

The two of them have been alternatively swapped in and out of the lineup for each other all season in Quad City. Odd that both go down at the same time, but probably just as well.
One or both could find their way back up on AHL Clear Day. In the meantime, hopefully, they both get a lot of ice time.
Next for the QC Flames is resolving the three-headed goaltender situation.

If Lalande had two more games under his belt, or actually 116 more minutes played, he would be leading the ECHL in both GAA and save%

I think the moves set up a situation for the QC Flames to perhaps bring in an experienced AHL hired gun of their own on the blueline (on a PTO?) for their playoff drive.
But I guess we'll see.

That could well be. Calgary has stated that they are looking for us as well. We certainly could use a picker-upper!!! (One who scores would be an excellent choice.... )

I thought the Flames were only allowed to have three roster spots down there and a goalie, Donally, Seitsonen, Cracknell and Lalande, How many more Flames can be sent down, as much as is needed?

I don't think it's "allowed" so much as "expected." I don't know exactly how it works, but I thought it was something like the Flames promised three players to the Wranglers. I'm sure there's some contractual obligation as an affiliate, but I would bet that the three player issue was a minimum rather than a maximum.
That's my guess.
Also, what should we expect from these two send downs? Anyone have an opinion on them? It's always exciting to receive new guys.

Does this mean that Gerry Burke has impressed in the QC? I figured he'd be inline for a reassignment.

Probably not. He's been a healthy scratch and McGill seems to dress only five defencemen anyway.

It doesn't really matter of McGill dresses five or six d-men, as he only plays the Palin/Hambly and Pardy/Ramholt lines throughout the game. I'd be surprised if the other d-men that do dress get more than 5 minutes of ice time per game.

You would think that drafted prospects Pelech and Baldwin would get more icetime, but having them earn it at the AHL level is probably a good thing as they will have to do the same to get icetime at the NHL level.

I thought Pelech gets a good amount of ice time. He definately brings a physical part of the game which helps. ( funny fact that hes my best D men on NHL 08 ahl team)
