.I only hope our veterans continue to lead this rebuild by example.
Im glad they are showing these rookies how a rebuild is done. Giveaways at the blueline, turnovers behind our own net, soft goals - all key if we are going to have a top 3 pick. Score lots of goals so there are good stat lines to flip for more talent or picks later in the season, but be sure not to win many games.
Cant get too many points too early on. The veterans get it, but the rookies are playing too well defensively. That needs to change

Colborne is the player that looks like he will need some time... He has looked somewhat out of place...

I think Colborne has looked good. He hasn't shown the most skill but he's been hitting everyone that moves it seems. Didn't he get 6 hits in his first game or something? And look who he's playing with.... I wish he was given a chance to play with better line mates, but I think that'll come soon enough. When he learns the "system" a bit better I think he'll be someone who can really help this team at both ends (I think he'll be a really good TWO WAY player)
As for the game, I really don't care who wins because I"m sure this will be fun to watch no matter what.

Colborne started the Columbus game between Glencross and Jones, so he had a chance with better line mates but wasn't able to keep up with them.

yep, he also started the game on the 1st line against the Canucks but he was moved to the 4th line.
I believe his ice time was around 9 minutes.
It will take some time getting him in the flow of things.....

He is also in the midst of a "religious conversion" to some sort of Steckel type deity

I agree, once he gets used to the Flames game and finds some chemistry with someone then I think he'll be pretty good

I disagree. Street's shown he can battle. I'm glad he's being rewarded for it. Last game I thought Street was the best player on his line.
