I was looking forward to seeing Wolf get another game tonight, I am a bit disappointed. It isn't a back to back situation, and we already know what Markstrom is.

Agreed. Wolf always talks about how every game helps getting more reps in the NHL. Lots to learn, so why arent you letting him get these reps while these games "mean nothing"?

I suspect it's something to do with not wanting to pay $6M for a guy to sit on the bench.
At least it's been 50/50.

I understand that, but Markstrom is likely gone in the offseason from what I understand. If they asked him to waive his NTC, the writing is likely on the wall unless they don't get any value back for him.
I really like Markstrom, but the time to get Wolf some games is now. Unless the Flames changed their mind and Markstrom is in the longer term plans.

He's getting games. Thinking he should play them all or most of them is unrealistic. Until/if Markstrom is traded he's still the team's starter and will be treated as the starter.

Plus, he was injured and needs some games to make it up. Wolf started what - 3 or 4 in a row.
