Did Gibbons really use his entire bench for on one AB?

Yes. Sierra came in as a PH, and then when Baltimore brought in a RHP in response, Thole pinch hit for Sierra. Then Diaz come in for Thole to run after Thole hit a single.

Some luck. O's wave at a couple good pitches and put up a huge inning.

These one-inning implosions are ridiculous. So frustrating.

The Jays need a neo-Jeter. He is a great player, never a dominating player, but I believe a lot of the Yankees' success has to do with his leadership and the expectations he places on his teammates.

I am getting to the point where why bother paying attention until someone other than Rogers owns the team. They are too cheap to actually commit the resources necessary to win.

I'm confused, their opening day payroll was 9th in the league at 117 million. Doesn't seem to me like they're cheaping out...
The Flames this year were 27th...

I feel for McGowan. Everything in his career has been a challenge. This an interesting article about one of the health issues that he has faced that I hadn't heard about : http://www.tsn.ca/blogs/scott_macarthur/?id=450422

They only had 2 really bad weak spots and it would've cost about 22 million to do it (Drew+Ubaldo/Santana)
If they had those two guys they might have had a shot. They added 40 mil last season, what's 20 more to make it a ton easier to make it.

1 month into the season and no team has signed Drew, and Jimenez has helped the Orioles lose all of his starts. Neither of those guys could fix the Blue Jays. Fact is for all the huffing and puffing about great prospects and future player this future star here, high celing only....they have no major league players from their own system that are any good.

Remember the days when Blue Jays starting pitchers are the strength of the team. Then they have capable long reliever and an awesome closer. It seems like in the last few seasons, the best starting pitcher the Jays have was Roy Halladay. Sad, because they tried to overpay some of these starting pitchers.

Jays will need to score 10+ runs a game to win.

Can we get someone who will swing when the game is on the line?!?!?! DIAZ go back to Triple AAA you are useless
I don't understand he was bunting then at 3-1 count he decided not to. Makes no sense.
That Diaz at bat is something good teams can't have. You need to get the runner in from 3rd with less than 2 outs.
And my prediction was correct they lost by one.

Certainly is frustrating to watch the Jays during the past week or so. It's hard to watch a team take 3+ run leads in 4 of 5 games and go 1-3 in those games. That being said, they are doing better than this point last year and are not all that far out of the division lead. Too early to panic!
