Smoak is such a tease with that power.

Almost 2K at bats now so he is a known quantity and he simply didn't live up to his draft potential.

It's low risk I suppose but trading Lind will create a new problem at 1B even if the thought is platooning Smoak.

I don't think they platoon there, I think Smoak at half of Lind's price saves them money, gives the Jays an asset to trade (Lind) for hopefully a 2B. Also Lind was clogging up DH, this allows the Jays to rotate Reyes/EE/Bautista and Melky if he re-signs to give them some rest. Which they couldn't do against righties last year.

I do think Smoak going from an extreme pitchers park (Safeco) to an extreme hitters park will help his numbers.

The Jays picked up Liam Hendriks again today. If that move doesn't make us 2015 WS Contenders, I don't know what does.

i mentioned in the other thread, if i were the Blue Jays I'd offer Sandoval 100 million dollars. Rumor has it he's going to Boston. That would really suck.
