Yeesh, 18-7-1. Quite the tall order.

Let's start with win 1/18 tonight though.

Calgary went 1-1-1 in the three games since the last snake was posted. In order to end the year at 96 points they need a 17-6-0 record to acquire 34 points in the final 23 games of the regular season. That's a 1.478 PPG clip.

Their opponents for the rest of the month:

at Nashville (27-22-8)
at Tampa Bay (25-24-8)
at Florida (27-20-10) 2nd game of back to back for Calgary
at Carolina (24-22-8)
vs. Los Angeles (28-25-4) LA plays in Minnesota the night before

The red snake is only 6 points below the green snake, and can make it 4 points back with a win in Nashville on Tuesday. If Calgary beats Nashville, Tampa Bay and Florida, they will sit 2 points back of the green snake. Starting in game 63, the green snake goes on a 5-0-1 hot streak. It will be tough to keep pace with that.

Yeah, he did. Poor guy had that chart loaded up all season for the seemingly inevitable day the red snake would be above the blue snake. Came close, but never happened.

88 Points gives the Flames a 64% chance of making the playoffs, according to Sportsclubstats.

Sadly, they have the Oilers at 99.8% for making the playoffs.

The red snake cares not for who it plays, or how other teams do. It only cares about getting two points every time it plays. Last night was a successful night for the red snake, as the Flames won. The red snake is now 4 points back of the green snake, 8 points above the purple snake, and 6.244 points below the black line. In order to hit 96 points the red snake needs 32 points in the last 22 games. That's 1.456 PPG, or a 16-6-0 record. Back to back games against Tampa Bay and Florida on Thursday and Friday are next up.
