I've stalled at 24. Haven't gotten a better piece of gear in days. Weapons are getting better though, but my armour needs to get a serious bump before I can even think about doing a raid.

Best way is to do strikes if you have friends on that won't leave in the middle. If someone leaves anyone can join mid fight if they are on your friend list buy joining your fireteam which is nice especially if your doing 22 strikes where you need three people on some boss fights.

You can also grind patrol missions but this is quite a bit slower.

Honestly, in thinking about it, Patrols are probably quicker. They give 10 points and can be done in seconds. Strikes at 24 give 25 points but take 30 mins to an hour to complete.

As for Legendary, I've seen two engrams drop at lvl 24, both turned out to be uncommon greens. >.<

I'm still at lvl12...too much time trying to play mp and not doing missions, so I'm fixing that right now, grinding them out. the upside is my guns and armor are solid enough that there hasn't been anything that overwhelms my lvl.

The various farming guides seem to point at doing circular runs in certain maps on Patrol, for Rep, engrams and upgrade materials (for extra rep). Definitely something you want to do with a friend.

Been stuck at 24 for a little bit. Was hoping to grab the exotic piece from Xur before he left even though I love Blink on my Void Walker.

Seriously, teleporting around everywhere is so much fun. Throws other players into confusion when I disappear. Granted I also confuse myself still because I'm still not 100% about my trajectory.

Kinda on the fence right now because of some of the mixed reviews. Will this game have staying power?

I seriously don't understand why this game is getting bad reviews. It's great, and it should be relevant for a while because Bungie is planning on releasing multiple expansions for it.

We are playing on Xbox 360 and I heard it looks better on PS3. Everything seems to be in the game so If you want to play it but don't want a new console pick it up for PS3.

I've enjoyed it so far. I'm almost at lvl 20. There always seems to be lots of people online.

I can see how some people may see the end game as a bit of a grindfest with PVE stuff, but I am really enjoyng the PVP, so I think I'll be playing for a while.

Man, two friends and I just spent 45 minutes on Sekrion, Nexus Mind, and threw in the towel.
Stupid Vex spawning in kept surprising us.
I think I need to level up a little further to beat that.
