Yup, that's my understanding as well. Maybe one day.

Very much looking forward to the 2 hour documentary on the tour this October.

New trailer for the upcoming Hip documentary, coming out on Sept. 14th. I'm excited to see this, but man, it's gonna be a tough watch. List of participating theatres here:

Shows gord in the blue rimmed bug eyed glasses during Grace Too here in Calgary (first show). I will never forget how loud the dome was during that.

Here is an excerpt of the review I wrote describing that moment.

"Unceremoniously Gord reached into the crowd and retrieved a pair of blue rimmed bug eyed glasses. He gently placed them over his eyes and immediately was cast under a spell. The onstage possession lit the fire storm of the audience. The next six minutes were brimming with a band thriving off the very energy that built this city. Imagine a game seven atmosphere romancing a campfire sing along, that was Grace Too. The crowd was so ravenous for one man to step to the microphone and plead his case. The place was frothing o n that electricity and at times it was hard to hear the band over the crowd. Think about that: It was so loud in that stadium you couldn’t hear the band – at a rock concert. The intensity rose to a fever pitch during those six magical minutes and never came down for the rest of the night. I get goose bumps just thinking about."

Showing at Chinook theatre on Sept 14 and 18. Just bought tickets for the 14th show, really want to see it on the big screen. I sincerely hope the soundtrack sounds amazing.

And yes, it will be a chopping onions/is it dusty in here evening.

Got my ticket for tonight's showing of 'Long Time Running' at Chinook. Anyone else planning on attending?

I am purposely not watching trailers or reading reviews.

A few sad moments, a few laugh out loud moments, lots of good concert footage. The highlight for me was the commentary from the various band members. They seem like a bunch of pretty average (but talented) guys who really love each other. Gord is a true original, and this flick was a good reminder of how great he was. I really hope he has a few more years ahead of him for his family and friends.

They really did land the balloon perfectly, and that's how I want to remember them.

I really enjoyed it last night and I'm glad I saw it in the theatre as the sound was awesome. The concert footage was really great and so was the interviews with the guys.

Not a ton of footage from the Calgary shows compared to the other shows, but they did have "Grace, Too" which was definitely the highlight of the two shows here. Man, the Dome was rocking during that.

I think I've missed the theater run, but if I'm not mistaken CTV will be airing this next month? I swear I saw commercials stating that this summer.

Theatre run ends Monday evening. Airs Nov 12th on CTV with commercials. Crave TV for streaming next day. CTV/Bell bought exclusive Canadian rights last year. Will not be on Netflix.

For the sound alone, go see it in theatre if you can. I would categorize it as a concert/Tour Doc. Lots of concert footage so sound is essential.

So, somebody took the time to rank every Hip song. All 162 of them. Can't say I agree with where all the songs are ranked, and I "feel bad" for some songs that I love but they are victims of a rich catalogue.

Only in today's world of singles and iTunes would someone so horribly mix up Hip songs into such a jumble of nonsense. Its all about the albums for these guys IMHO. And I actually think Man Machine Poem is one of their better ones. For me anyways, I think these guys really put a lot into what would be their last studio album. It reminds me somewhat of Day for Night - which is maybe why I like it so much.

I don't agree with everything on that list but really nice to see Scared ranked so high. Might be my favorite Hip song.

Agreed. I love that album. Best thing they've done since Phantom Power in my opinion.

What a bunch of great songs on that list, Twist my Arm and Boots or Hearts at 86 and 85 seem poorly ranked to me, should be a lot higher.

Sherpa and Titanic Terrarium are not rated highly, but they're among my favourites.

I still remember Gordie yelling " LET ME OUT!" at the 96 show in the Dome. Locked in the Trunk of a Car is amazing.

Nautical Disaster live on SNL.....

My fave is probably Three Pistols. Or Blow at High Dough.... or......

The soundtrack to my adulthood.
