I hate cats, can't stand them, but I wouldn't have focused on unloading my truck, or have waited an hour.

I am also far from a cat person but for some reason the whole click a can opener outside is coming to mind. (assuming it eats canned food)

Strange post, how can someone hate cats? Yeah some are blah and kind of just lay around but others are not only are just as intellegent as a dog you don't have to pick up their poop when you go for a walk..mine waits! Believe it or not some cats make the smartest dog look very stupid, my last one lived 22 years and schooled many dogs along the way..it's all in the breed.

Exotic cats are truly amazing, smart, extremely friendly, loyal and very good with kids.

The cat will come back. They always do. Lie to your gf and tell her that the cat ran out, you dropped everything and ran after it.

Cats are evil, untrustworthy pets.

They don't like you, they don't want you around, if a dog attacks a person its "oh my god, that evil dog!" if a cat attacks you it's "lol, cat being a cat!"

I don't like them, I think they are pointless pets. From what I've seen and read it seems cruel to de-claw them, but if you don't they using your house as a scratching post. That's great you don't have to pick up their poop when you go for a walk, you just have to wait until they poop in a box of sand you keep in our house. That sounds great.

Just not a cat person. If the subject comes up ever in conversation a cat owner will always tell me they understand why I don't like cats but will tell me "well, my cat is different, he is more like a dog!"

Really? Just get a dog then.

Stupid cats.

The only thing that stops cats from murdering all of us is the lack of a workable thumb. I know it, you all know it, its a fact.

If a cat could slam a pillow on our face and hold it there it would.

If a cat could #### a pistol and fire it, it would

If a cat could open a bottle of household caustic cleaner and dump it into our dinner it would.

When a cat is curled up in your lap purring, its because its having a dream of tearing your throat out.

When a cat is eyeballing you while its eating its because its having a fantasy that its ripping out your lower intestine and feeding on you while you lie there writhing and screaming in pain.

Make no mistake, Cats are the enemy, they're a couple of steps behind us on the evolutionary ladder, but at night they're working very hard in their hidden cat labs to change that.

This wont help you at all but...

Be happy you are rid of the cat. If the gf holds you accountable for not making sure that HER cat didnt escape while you were likely bringing in HER stuff, then find someone else who doesnt own a cat.

Cats are pure evil, they think of no one but themselves.

I honestly don't even blame him for the cat escaping. I'm sure the little ball of evil manipulated him into it some how.

I have an indoor cat that sneaks out all the time but never goes far and always runs back in if there is a loud noise. If I was unloading a vehicle and the cat ran out, I would have left it too.

When she was young cat though, she was "lost" for a while and it turned out that she treed herself and was afraid to come down. You might want to look up in any tall trees close to the house, although I would think she would have come down by now.

OT, but I had a laugh at the post about girls under 30 and cats. It seems like most girls I know immediately went and got cats after moving out of their parent's homes. I love cats, dogs and all animals, but no way would I choose to have one if I didn't marry into the situation. There are so many times that I had to be burdened with finding people to look after it when I travel. Having pets is such a big inconvenience sometimes.

I like cats because owning one is a constant battle of wits against a worthy adversary, the prize being affection.
