That too, filters out the worst of it.

This...the complete ignorance of some people towards the closest and greatest ally of Canada is mind bottling, but each to their own and in response...best ignored.

Your a cool dude man, don't let this stuff get you to stop visiting a place you love. Everyone has these moments where you get really frustrated and angry with people, best just to step back and stay away for a few days.
You'll feel better after you forget about today, and then you'll miss the crazies here and come back.

Plus if you leave, I feel the rain of American hate will land squarely on me. If this happens I might develop a stutter. P-P-P-P-Please dont do that to me.

Wait. You and PIMKing aren't the same guy? Damn.
In all seriousness I totally understand how PIM feels. We all know he has been through a lot lately and we come on here to get away from real life and then it feels like we are being personally attacked. It makes sense to react personally to that. The ignore function is a godsend. Finally, the discipline to not go into threads that you know are going to piss you off will make the rest of the site that much better. It has saved my sanity on several occassions.
I can't speak for everyone but there are a lot of things about the US that piss me off. However, there are many, many more things that make it an amazing place. Remember those things and ignore what ignorant posters say about the rest. Besides, when was the last time an American gave two toonies aboot (See what I did there?) what a bunch of hosers say about anything? That you care what we say means you care about us, which means you love us and can never leave!!
I also like Ken's idea. Change your sig to "I have Dyslexia so KISS MY SSA!"
Be cool.

PIMking there's not much to say that has not already been said, but I hope you know your input to date is valued, and I hope you return to CP soon.

Why is it always those who give it the hardest, can't take it back at all?
Whether its debates, sports or anything else the first person to cry foul is always the guy who plays the game full of fouls.

I'm not even the tiniest bit upset about stuff that has happened on calgarypuck. I think you need to toughen up a little bit. It's the internet.. no reason to let any of this to effect you so strongly.

So pro gun control = anti-American?
Can you point out the other ridiculous anti-American threads, just so I understand, please.

And to think I assumed PIMking was a grown man. Based on his dramatic announcement, going forward I'm going to have to assume he's a 12 year old boy, who is taking his ball home because the other kids are being mean.
Dude, you dish it out better than you take it. Don't even try to play some kind of martyr card.

The reason we make fun of americans is because we care about them. Like albert from twin peaks. It's all about love baby. Tough love.

As far as the gun thread is concerned, I felt we, as Canadians were being a little smug, in not trying to see things from the American's perspective, and in stereotyping some groups.
